DOHA, Qatar - Doha Bank announced conducting corporate quiz across the GCC states. This new initiative has made Doha Bank, the first Middle East financial institution to increase the interest of the region’s professionals towards knowledge sharing sessions. The first event in the series took place at Sheraton Doha, Al Majlis Hall.
The quiz event in Doha was followed by quiz events planned in Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat and Riyadh in the coming months. The diverse topics that would be covered in these quiz events include business, finance, entertainment, current affairs, sports, technology, environment etc. In the first phase of this GCC BizQuiz 2008-2009 series, the participating teams in each of the GCC states would be filtered by way a written preliminary round and based on the performance in the preliminary round top five teams will be selected for final. In addition, on conclusion of the first phase, the winners from each of the GCC states will be brought together for a grand finale to be conducted in Doha, yet another pioneering initiative in the Middle East region by Doha Bank. Doha Bank has been conducting knowledge sharing sessions by way of quiz programs since 2005 starting with corporate quiz conducted in Doha in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007; sports quiz conducted in Doha in the years 2006 and 2007; environment conscious green quiz conducted in Doha in the year 2007 and corporate quiz conducted at Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the year 2007. These quiz programs were huge success drawing not less than 75 teams for each of the quiz program, competing intensively creating an intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
