The Wave, Muscat, today announced new appointments in its management team and further consolidated its footprint in the region as the leading property developer in the sultanate.
Abdulla Al Shidi will take over as Deputy CEO, Nasser Al Sheibani as Vice President Finance and Alison Shaw as PR and Events Manager. Abdulla Al Shidi’s association with The Wave, Muscat goes back to the start of the project. He has played a pivotal role in setting up the company’s procedures, systems, and corporate governance framework. In his earlier role as CFO, he was responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Commercial Services, Information Technology and the Legal aspects of the business besides being the secretary to the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors. Abdulla is an MBA graduate with over 22 years of experience in finance and commercial services. In his earlier portfolios Abdullah started his career with the Central Bank of Oman and served with them for approximately three years after which he remained with Petroleum Development Oman for 16 years in various positions. The Wave, Muscat, is being developed through a joint venture comprising Oman’s Waterfront Investments (representing the Government of the Sultanate of Oman), National Investment funds Company (representing the Omani Pension Funds), and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
